Discussion "GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition", PC Requirements & Graphics features leaked!
I’m really curious about these OLD GTA titles. I’ve never played them before, but I’ve seen some old gameplay clips and now my interest has grown a bit.
I’m not usually into GTA games, but after watching some of these classic gameplay videos, I’m starting to feel a bit intrigued.
I’ve heard that GTA 3 is considered the standout title in the series? Well, I wanted to share some new information I found. Apparently, a GTA forum member named alloc8or released the initial graphics details for Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: The Definitive Edition. They also shared the official PC requirements for this upcoming set.
In a press release, it was mentioned that GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition will include high-resolution textures, wider draw distances, and controls inspired by GTA 5.
It features three famous cities and epic stories, bringing the original Grand Theft Auto trilogy to life with updated graphics, improved lighting and environments, detailed textures, GTA 5-style controls, and many other enhancements.
Furthermore, the leaked PC specs say these remasters need about 45GB of free storage. Rockstar also specified that the recommended CPUs are Intel Core i5-2700K or AMD FX-6300, and the GPUs should be Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 (2GB) or AMD Radeon R9 280 (3GB).
Storage should be at least 8GB, and the system must run Windows 10.
For better performance, the recommended upgrades include an Intel Core i7-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 (4GB) or AMD Radeon RX 570 (4GB), and 16GB of RAM.

It would be nice to play those again. Thanks for the details. I hope vehicle physics gets better, like in GTA 5, so driving around corners feels more natural. Regarding system needs, they mentioned an i5 2500k and a 2700k processor would be suitable, which is similar to an i7.
Lol, great catch. Yes, it's definitely an i5 CPU, not i7. I didn't even notice that before. It looks like there might be a typo in the leaked press screenshot.
Which classic GTA title stands out in terms of gameplay, story, and combat? Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, or Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas?
Oh man, it's been a long time since I last thought about them. I really enjoyed them all, even the small details like the bird's-eye view additions that were a bit tricky. San Andreas probably comes to mind, especially with the turf wars I remember about? And I'm still working on my biceps, haha.
3 and vice are outdated now, they're difficult to view and have problematic controls on newer systems. San Andreas remains enjoyable today, and the initial top-down titles are still excellent.
Some minor updates regarding this game series. Take-Two and Rockstar have confirmed that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will launch on November 11th, 2021. A fresh trailer highlighting comparisons between the original and remastered versions has also been released. This information was shared by GTABASE.
The upcoming remasters are expected to utilize Nvidia's DLSS AI upscaling technology. Rockstar confirmed that the edition will include higher resolution textures, enhancing visuals across characters, weapons, vehicles, and road surfaces. The 3D character models are also anticipated to improve, though they may adopt a more stylized appearance.
A new lighting system will be introduced, offering richer shadows and reflections. Water and weather effects will also see refinements, along with more detailed tree and foliage elements. Lastly, improved draw distances are anticipated for all three remasters.
