Without AMD Mantel, you can run Battlefield 4 smoothly at medium settings around 30 FPS, but with Mantel it runs well at high settings near 35 FPS. It seems Mantel is still available for some titles, though not necessarily in all future releases.

We haven't determined it yet. The outcome relies on game creators.

I understand... it's important to maintain it for those with outdated systems, especially since performance really improves once DirectX 12 is available.

Currently, the games will remain available permanently. At least that's what I understand.

It doesn't seem logical to eliminate it. The process requires additional effort, and removing it may stall further progress.

Battlefield Hardline backs Mantle. It seems few other titles will follow soon.

Frostbite Engine titles are likely to see updates soon. In the long run, DirectX 12 and Vulkan will dominate. Vulkan shares some similarities with Mantle.

Relax, the upcoming graphics APIs like DirectX 12 and OpenGL Vulkan will provide the same performance gains. The issue with DirectX 11 will only arise if we encounter difficulties, which we won’t face.

It's frustrating since Nvdia isn't jumping onto the boat, and I'd prefer a higher FPS on my 770.

You're receiving similar advantages using DirectX 12 (and Vulkan).
