Discussion about the CPU cable issue
Your i9-10900K has two power cables connected to it. Even though you aren’t overclocking, the CPU still gets very hot during certain games like Apex. It’s possible the extra cables are contributing to increased heat output. Check if other components or connections are also generating more warmth.
The CPU consumes power, it doesn't force it into the CPU. It only draws what it requires, and the additional cable helps reduce the strain or heat on the 8-pin connector in most situations—usually barely noticeable unless you're running high-end overclocks or doing extreme overclocking.
