Currently, most motherboards come with AHCI turned on by default. It’s a good idea to verify this, as it’s necessary before installing Windows.

Assemble your PC, enter the BIOS, adjust the SATA controller to AHCI—this is usually the default on newer motherboards. Once configured, choose your SSD as the boot device during Windows setup and you're all set.
