When demand rises significantly, companies already meet this requirement, and consumer devices like Threadripper Pro cover most needs. For personal machines, 16GB remains more than adequate in the majority of scenarios. I frequently handle RAM-heavy tasks such as Docker containers, and even then, 32GB suffices for me. Typically, I use between 18 and 20GB, so 16GB was just insufficient. A system capable of handling 1TB or even 512GB would be unnecessary for most users, while alternatives with extra PCIe lanes become essential for those specific workloads.
