This idea isn't brand new—it predates BFB. You can always upgrade to a better non-Z chipset board and push the power limits further to unlock Intel's all-core turbo, which can't be maintained within the original TDP specs. For gaming, a Z chipset remains a solid choice for higher memory speeds, even though it's slower than newer options like the R5 3600. The trade-off is that while both run at similar frequencies, Intel's instruction-per-second performance is lower.
