So im thinking of installing Valorant but a lot of you know it uses the Vanguard anti-cheat which apparently is a Kernel level "malware" or rootkit and i've been wondering if any of y'all have problems with it or problems started appearing as soon as you guys installed it since i have heard stories that they installed valorant then their pc started BSOD a lot or anything like that, so i decided to ask y'all opinion on either it's safe or not.

There are circumstances where this might occur, yes. However, it's important to remember that many individuals avoid sharing their opinions unless they have a problem. People rarely visit forums, Reddit, Twitter, or similar platforms to say something like "this game works great for me!" You might find thousands of posts claiming it, but if your player base is just 3 million (a statement RIOT has made for special BETA users), that represents less than 1% of you. I think a high-level anti-cheat system is excessively intrusive. You need to decide for yourself whether that's the case. Vanguard isn't the only anti-cheat tool with such limited access.

You can test it without any commitment. Just install and then remove it, so you won’t commit anything permanently. The system should handle it safely during that trial.

I don't understand the reason behind the question, so I can't provide a direct answer. If proper data backup is followed, and the problem isn't clearly identified, it may be resolved easily once uninstallation is attempted.
