I have limited memory space and can't locate the manufacturer. The laptop has two RAM slots, so upgrading is possible. You don't necessarily have to purchase from the same brand—just ensure the new RAM matches the required speed.

Shifted focus to CPUs, motherboards, and memory. Different brands are acceptable.

Usually not, but for slower RAM you should aim for the same specifications—speed and latency—or better. With older DDR3, consider extra factors like voltage (1.5 vs 1.35) and whether your platform supports single or dual channels.
