Assessing the value of your investment depends on your goals. If you aim to boost performance by overclocking, the extra cost might be worth it despite the risk. However, if you're concerned about thermal performance, consider whether the potential gains justify the chance of overheating.

It comes down to whether you value thermals, but if you do, I think it's worth the effort—especially at this altitude.

You'd notice a noticeable drop in temperature after applying thermal paste and relidding the CPU.

Not familiar with thermal paste, typically liquid metal is used. The range is generally around 7 to 20 degrees.

It seems contradictory—it appears to resemble a liquid.

It seems like you're wrapping up a discussion. Remember, not every liquid is a thermal paste, not all liquid metals qualify as good thermal pastes, and not every thermal paste is made of liquid metal. Good luck!
