The location of the injector on the run isn't critical since the distance is only about 50 feet. It doesn't really affect performance for such a short run.

This depends on your setup. Based on what I remember, with a decent cable, you can go up to 50 or 100 meters—roughly 120 or 240 feet, depending on the situation.

From a fundamental perspective: Increased voltage and reduced amplitude tend to enhance distance, which seems reasonable.

In fact, there are two distinct categories. Items such as radiolinks typically operate on 24V, while cameras and Wi-Fi APs often require 48V. Be aware that connecting a radiolink to a 48V PoE port or injector will permanently damage it.

The typical setup distance for POE injectors is around 180 feet. It's usually best to install them at the switch since the AP isn't always close to an electrical outlet. A 50-foot run works well. Simply place the injector at the switch and run the cable.
