Previously, I lacked funds for Windows, so I... joined a pirate ship... And honestly, since Windows 8.1 keys are inexpensive on G2A, I wondered if purchasing one would let me reactivate Windows without a full reinstall.

It varies based on the changes made to Windows, but you could be safer by reinstalling it altogether.

Choose a full reinstall option. This will let you save your personal files for a smooth process. Alternatively, you can turn off the existing copy and turn it back on.
