For a long time I've considered increasing my laptop's RAM. It's currently running 1x8GB at 2133Mhz, which is pretty basic. Adding two 8GB modules in dual-channel mode could definitely boost performance. Would it speed up your games and give the integrated GPU more memory? Or would using more RAM for the GPU make it even faster? And would higher clock speeds really matter, making things like game loading quicker? You're not too bad with computers overall, but you're struggling with RAM—let me know what you think!

Currently your setup likely has the iGPU using the full capacity it requires—possibly 512MB or 1GB. You might be able to adjust this setting in BIOS, though it’s not something you’d usually think of for a simpler laptop. For performance gains, faster memory can really help, but confirm your device can handle the upgrade. Switching from 1x8 to 2x8 represents the main boost. Before my girlfriend upgraded, she used a MacBook with single-channel RAM; switching to dual-channel significantly increased frame rates.
