I have an 8GB 2133MHz DDR4 CL15 RAM. I need to add another stick, but my budget is tight right now. If I buy a similar model with a faster speed—like 2400 MHz CL17 or 2666 MHz CL19—I wonder if it will still fit. They say the system will adapt to the slowest speed, but does it also adjust the latency of the RAM like the 2133MHz CL15 will match the slower 2400 MHz? Since my motherboard and CPU only support up to 2133 MHz, changing to a faster RAM might not be an issue for me. The H110 motherboard has only two slots, so I don’t have much flexibility.

They should operate smoothly together. Both will function at the same pace.

It will function. At full capacity? Not so much, but it should still be okay.

The CAS latency will adapt based on performance differences between CL17 and CL15.

It will all operate together at the same pace. You should be able to adjust it manually if needed.
