Looking at your setup, the CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600, which should handle the workload. The GPU is an RX 580 series card, and you have two 8GB sticks totaling 16GB RAM—plenty for gaming. The PSU is 3200MHz with 500W capacity, and your motherboard is X470 Gaming Pro Carbon, which supports modern games. However, the issue arises when activating XMP profiles; your CPU throttles to 0.54GHz. This could be due to thermal throttling from the CPU or insufficient cooling. Consider checking temperatures, ensuring proper airflow, and verifying XMP settings are correctly applied.

After turning on XMP and rebooting, Task Manager shows it’s running at 0.54GHz. When you launch a game, your frame rates become unstable.

He faced the same problem with his x550, and the fix was updating the BIOS.
