Given the age of this setup, it might be wise to explore a completely different base system with a fresh power supply. The 1050ti is likely limiting performance even with a modest upgrade to your CPU, motherboard, or RAM. A newer i3 would surpass the capabilities of that 4th generation i7. Those CPUs were excellent back then and offered impressive endurance. Still suitable for competitive gaming or similar tasks.

It's early to start any choices at this point, since the build schedule is still distant. Prices and features may shift.
You won't find a suitable CPU upgrade on its own; you'll need to replace the motherboard and RAM too.

My existing setup has worked well for me, and I hope it will continue to serve someone else's needs once I hand it over.
