A typical USB flash stick should be compatible. The BIOS file is quite small around 12MB. For quicker options, consider: Amazon Basics 128GB USB 3.1: https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-128...0B6148YKN/ Samsung BAR Plus 128GB USB 3.1 https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-BAR-Plus-...B07BPK3XWW
I managed to get the right fashdrive and tried it yesterday to check. It turns out my motherboard can’t flash the BIOS unless I’m inside the BIOS, but I can’t access it because the screen won’t show anything. HURRAY!
Looking for a suitable CPU for your motherboard setup? I need to check the BIOS updates first. For a $200 budget, what options fit well?
Have you explored the AMD Short Term Processor Loan Boot Kit RMA form? https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa...n-Boot-Kit Purchasing a new CPU solely for a BIOS update might not be worthwhile. Apologies, I overlooked this earlier. Is there a BIOS update available directly on the motherboard? Have you attempted to reinstall the CPU using only one DIMM slot? Ensure no dust or debris is present on the pins or within the socket.
Using Amazon allows you to get a refund, and you just need an affordable CPU for it to function properly.
I changed the CPU last night without using just one RAM stick.
All systems are operational with the lights functioning normally. Updating the BIOS is necessary, so I'm placing an order for an older CPU model to ensure compatibility with my AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor.
