I understand, and your speed might improve, but it still relies on factors like your connection strength and location relative to the towers. Predicting latency accurately is tricky without real testing.

Speed doesn't lower ping, it stays the same. As @_Syn_ mentioned, you might notice a slight change in ping if your provider uses towers nearer, though many other elements affect latency too. Switching from cell service to a wired connection like fiber would likely reduce ping in most situations due to technology differences, but boosting speed doesn't guarantee faster ping.
