I am unable to proceed. The Eero relies on an app, and instructions say I can't use standard techniques. I checked the garage and noticed several wire connections; I thought it would be safer to avoid touching it.
I receive 1 gig with ethernet and another with wifi, totaling 2 gig. It surprises me they provide a 2 gig plan but offer a very weak router that doesn’t meet the speed you’re paying for. This is puzzling since none of my attempts have worked, and upgrading to a better router might fix everything at once.
Did you test both options together to verify the combined speed from the router? The Eero’s 2.5Gbit WAN lets you fully utilize your wired LAN without any WiFi limitations (besides the network itself). It’s frustrating when Steam exceeds 2Gbit during a clean install, which would be similar for me. However, true 2Gbit routers are rare.
