I once enjoyed watching Black Ops 2 competitively, but Ghosts felt pretty dull, which made me stop following COD esports and playing the game myself.
The best COD multiplayer experience came in Modern Warfare 1; the rest is just poor quality. I’d pick Counter-Strike anytime.
I observe CoD tournaments, play OpTic for fun, Scump reigns supreme, Crimbot leads, Formal acts as a beast, and Karma2Rings keeps things interesting.
I occasionally enjoy playing Bo3 to unwind after OW sessions, and for a while I still played MW2. Now I’d love to experience a fresh modern shooter feel with a new title as well. I don’t really connect with the World Wars era—back then they just needed better DLC and fewer releases, maybe every couple of years. Otherwise, players would grow weary of the constant cycle. Before Aw, everyone craved something new only to be disappointed by it.
I spent a lot of time playing COD4 Promo, which was the most rewarding competitive experience I've experienced. Sad that the community turned out to be hostile and unwelcoming to newcomers.
