Upgrading your CPU might not require reinstalling Windows 7 unless you're replacing the entire system. Reactivating Windows could be an option if you're updating the OS but keeping the hardware unchanged.

It might be possible. Restarting isn't always necessary, yet Windows 7 can encounter issues after significant hardware updates such as the CPU or motherboard. You might not need to do it, but it could happen.

I improved my CPU and motherboard without needing to reinstall anything. I was facing a lot of lag, low frame rates, and other issues, but after reinstalling Windows 8 everything worked fine.

Whenever you improve your CPU or change its seat, you must reinstall Windows, which often requires a new key. Failing to do so may lead to issues.

I needed to reinstall and double-check the key. You’ll probably have to contact support to confirm it. I changed both the motherboard and CPU.

Hardware updates necessitate a Windows reinstall. CPU, RAM, graphics card, extra HDD, power supply, fans, and motherboard status are set accordingly.
