Hello, you're planning to upgrade from a 7600x CPU to a 7800x3D. Since you're new to PC upgrades, it's good to know what extra steps matter beyond a BIOS reset. Make sure the new CPU is compatible with your motherboard and power supply, and verify the socket type matches. On the software side, check that your BIOS supports the new CPU model and update any drivers or firmware if needed. Also, ensure your operating system is compatible with the new CPU's specifications.

Make sure the bios are updated. Swapping a cpu is equivalent to installing a new one on a different board.

Ensure the bios is prepared for the new chip. Replace the old version with the new one. It's straightforward, just like installing the new CPU as described earlier.
