I'm just starting out here and I really need some guidance. I recently got an MSI Sekira case 500X that can hold up to five fans inside. However, I'm using a Z370 motherboard from the gaming Carbon Pro line which is now quite old and only has six fan connectors. The issue is that if I connect my Noctua CPU cooler with two fans plus a heatsink, I won't have enough slots to fit all of them. I've bought a splitter, but I'd like some useful advice on estimating the power draw of these fans and how much current my motherboard can handle. To be honest, I've looked through the manual myself but didn't find any specific details. Please help me out if you're willing to assist me in figuring out the best solution and the expected ampere usage. Thank you very much!
You purchased the NH-D15, which includes two NF-A15 PWM fans, each drawing just under 1W (about 0.96W). A motherboard fan header usually supports around 12W at full load. This means you can power several fans from a single header easily.
Sure, I understand. I'm wondering if the 200mm lens draws a slightly wider angle compared to the 120mm, and since its color profile is different, it might also shift a bit in that direction. That's why I'm checking, just in case!
