I bought a B550 Aorus Pro AC with one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and a Thunderbolt port. I’m thinking about getting a 4000d Airflow case that has a USB 3.0 Type A and a USB 3.1 Type C. Can I connect the USB 3.0 to the 3.2 Gen 1 header and the USB 3.1 to the Thunderbolt header? Thanks for clarifying my question.

You can examine the pin layouts for USB 3.0 and USB 3.2 buses. It becomes clear that the connections match beyond just the physical shape and key design—also including GND and +/+ signals. The Thunderbolt section is a bit unclear to me.
