I’m looking at buying network equipment from fs.com. Since it’s a German company, I don’t have major concerns about legitimacy. However, I saw a video about a US competitor that showed rejected optical SFP adapters which don’t meet high standards. These are then sold to third-party vendors who offer them at low prices under generic brands. Given fs.com’s pricing, possibly similar deals exist here. I’m also curious about shipping costs, handling claims, and warranty support. Please share the details so I can give you a clear assessment—either constructive feedback or strong endorsement! TIA!

I've tried them too. Excellent quality, highly suggested. The failure rate is slightly higher than the original manufacturer's but remains acceptable. We follow a policy of keeping at least one spare of each type on hand and storing them together in the same rack as the equipment. It's also wise to construct everything with multiple links so that a single SFP failure doesn't lead to problems. Best of luck!

Sure! You're looking to set up a lab setup using the Dell Powerconnect switches you received. You'll be connecting them with fiber-optic cables to explore link aggregation and gain practical experience. You'll need at least four switches and a matching pair of fiber cables. While it's not expensive, managing a limited budget can add some challenges.

When I mention the failure rate is higher, I'm talking about a slight increase—perhaps around 4 to 5 failures per 300 units after a few years. For home use, it should be fine.

I placed two orders previously. The only pre-purchase concern was resolved promptly, around an hour. Everything functioned well the first time without issues, though the order size was modest. I’m generally very satisfied with them.
