Hello, this is the main thread for W10 development discussions. The earlier outdated message is included in the spoiler section below; nothing else here at the moment. Hi everyone, I'm focusing on topics related to Windows 10 testing. The Windows Insider Program is available at https://insider.windows.com/. I'm just starting my testing process and using Oracle VirtualBox. If you're interested in my configuration, here it is:

- Default Windows 8.1 settings should function properly
- If not, refer to these: Microsoft Windows, Other (32bit) – All cores, 100% (shouldn't significantly impact performance)
- Enable PAE (otherwise the system may fail to start)
- GPU size: 128MB
- 3D Acceleration enabled

I encountered some issues with shutdowns due to a black screen, but I resolved them by adjusting these settings. After installation, network and audio functionality might still be affected. I fixed my problems by tweaking the configurations.

Looking forward to sharing more updates!

At the office. I plan to test it on a virtual machine once I return from home.

Loading now, should take about 20 minutes. I was already getting concerned about using VirtualBox for this task. Since it functioned for you, I’m relieved to proceed without further issues. How can I enable PAE? I’ve only used VB at school and didn’t need that feature before.

It works fine, well, except the fact that I have no internet connection, but hey, at least we can use it To turn PAE you just need to check a box that's in Settings --> System ---> Processor

Why in the world are you linking the x86 version instead of the x64?

Since VirtualBox restricts x64 Windows WM support, I might not be able to use it even in 4.3.16. It seems like the person using it is likely doing the same.

It's taking an extremely long time (about two days according to Chrome).
