I was playing DayZ with some friends and couldn't access the scroll wheel menu. My mouse functions are normal, but whenever I launch the game it works briefly before the menu stops responding. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it without success. My mouse model is a G402/Help.
Generally, you don't have to rely on a scroll wheel. You can utilize your moving keys next to the numpad. EDIT: Choose 'Enter' to select an option like a vehicle and move with your keys instead of the scroll wheel, then press Enter again to enter the vehicle.
You'll mainly rely on your main device if you're going to play DayZ, while a secondary isn't essential in my view.
