I've been exploring the Xbox App for Windows 10 recently. The Game-DVR feature is interesting, but currently you're limited to uploading content from the App Store with native support. For instance, titles like "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta" and "Microsoft Solitaire Collection" work, as do recorded Xbox One games streamed online. My goal is to capture non-native games and upload their clips—especially Microsoft-published ones such as "Halo 2 for Windows Vista." It makes sense that Microsoft ignores older PC releases. I don’t anticipate native support for these titles, but I’m curious if there’s a way around the error when trying to upload clips from non-App Store games. This restriction seems in place to block uploads of unrelated content. To clarify, I try to explain it simply: just like you can add custom images to the Steam Community by placing them in a map, I think a similar approach could work for Windows Xbox Game-DVR. Any suggestions?
