I recently reinstalled Minecraft to test mods and play with friends. Previously, I maintained around 100fps+, but now it fluctuates between 0 and 90fps. Other games like Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, CS:GO, and Stick Fight are also suffering from a significant drop in frame rate. After reinstalling everything, including the graphics card driver (RX 480), the performance has improved to about 40% of what it used to be. Your system specs are: i7-920 CPU, RX 480 GPU, 8GB DDR3 RAM, and 4GB of VRAM. Let me know if you need more details!

If you never changed the thermal paste or cleared dust from your parts—especially the CPU—you'll experience declining performance gradually until the system overheats and stops working.

It's strange the dusting happened a week back—could it be something different? The CPU is running at around 40% load, and the temperatures are between 40-50°C, which seems normal for idle.

No, I haven't performed any scans for malware.

Absolutely, everything is working smoothly—it's just a game and it's all clean.
