Hey guys, could you assist me with this? I'm really new to upgrading PCs; I just got my first one in 2017. I'm planning an upgrade using this motherboard. From an article I read, I thought I was ready for a Ryzen 5000 series upgrade, aiming from a Ryzen 5 1600 to a Ryzen 9 5800x. I was also thinking about getting an AMD RX 6700 XT graphics card. Are all these components compatible together? From what I understand, yes, but I'm not an expert. Thanks for your help! Any questions with the "-->" part I'm looking to upgrade...

Maybe just share this here instead of all three. Someone will assist, and having three options can cause mixed results.

I was attempting to find a solution quickly before the Amazon Prime Day offers closed tonight. My apologies for the delay.

The question wasn't read. You should update your BIOS to version F51g to support that CPU, but it should work. The article suggests checking the support page for the correct version. It seems you might be referring to a Ryzen 7 5800x or a Ryzen 9 5950x, though there isn't a Ryzen 9 5800x available. You could consider letting someone else suggest a GPU. For the power supply, a 750-watt PSU would likely suffice for that CPU and GPU. Based on your current setup with a 5800x3d and a 7900xt, you're using around 700 watts, which aligns with the recommendation.

You're right, I was focusing on the Ryzen 7 5800x. I'll fix the original post. Thanks for sharing all that info!

I assume the main concern is the cost. Since I'm not in the USA, I'm unsure about the prices available there. It also varies depending on the screen size you're using. The 6800xt seems like a solid choice, but the 6700xt is also worth considering. You can check the PC Guide for recommendations on upgrading to Ryzen 7 5800x. The 6700 XT would definitely be a big improvement. How many cards have you checked? Most suggestions I see only recommend upgrading from the 1050, which seems to focus mainly on Nvidia options. I don't want to waste your time.

if you're in the US, I recommend the 5800X3D. this should be your final upgrade point on this platform, so it makes sense to extend the lifespan of your PC by opting for the top CPU available. for the GPU, at 1080p resolution I suggest the 6750XT. what is your budget looking like for this upgrade? for your reference: GPU Benchmarks and Hierarchy 2023: Graphics Cards Ranked We've conducted numerous GPU benchmarks on Nvidia, AMD, and Intel cards, organizing them in a detailed ranking.

Alright everyone, I bought everything and they all arrived. Here’s what I received:
-
Ryzen 7 5800x
-
AMD RX 6650 XT
-
EVGA 850W
My issue now is that when I attempt to update my BIOS, it displays an invalid image message.
Here’s the BIOS section for my motherboard. I’m still using F8, but I tried updating to F52m of F52h, and neither worked.
Please help me out. I’m not very familiar with this stuff. Thanks in advance.
