Hey guys, this is kind of a question/discussion topic. Ok, so the last few days have been pesky for me. I got a pop-up on YouTube about last week, and got really scared so I reformatted all of my drives - I know, completely unnecessary. However, even after doing extensive cleaning and checking of my computer's registry files, even having someone from MS check it, we found that my computer is perfectly clean! I don't download anything, unless from steam, and I don't go on dirty sites, either. But, today I got another random pop-up, but from a differnent source - also on YouTube, however, and this pop-up doesn't not occur on any other sites, Ive tried. Has anyone else seen any random pop-ups occurring on YouTube? Theyre the pop-ups on IE 11 that say at the bottom "Would you like to save [insert edgy name here] from [insertdodgynamesitehere].com?" And I just avoid them, so I don't really know, haha

Honestly, I'm not sure about capturing screenshots.

In the start menu, press and hold the new drag over area or press the Prt Scroll key next to the Scroll Lock button. Then paste in Paint.

It seems you're suggesting a simple method for sharing content. You could easily capture the screen and upload it to platforms like Imgur.

For Chrome, simply install addblocker and it will only affect certain internet settings, which is why it doesn't show up on your drives.

You're asking about cleaning up your system. It sounds like you might have downloaded something unwanted, possibly adware, and need help identifying the issue. Your computer could benefit from an anti-virus scan using tools like Malwarebytes or AVG. Adding an ad blocker in a different browser can also help reduce unwanted downloads. Chrome or Firefox are generally better than Internet Explorer 11 for security and performance.

Last night I began seeing unexpected popup ads on all the websites I visited, including this one. They appeared random and were especially bothersome since I hadn’t experienced them in years. My fix was to remove Chrome and reinstall it, which eliminated the popups. Luckily, whatever triggered the ads wasn’t linked to Chrome. I also ran Malwarebytes and a virus scan just to confirm everything was safe.
