Hey everyone, I own a 3070TI, Ryzen 7 3700X and 32GB DDR4 RAM. Streaming my screen on Discord while playing Old School Runescape is straining the GPU, and OSRS lags to around 20 FPS or less. Sometimes Discord becomes so pixelated that it’s hard to view anything clearly. I was expecting Discord and Runescape to work smoothly on my setup since my friends have better hardware and play more intense games without problems. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead!

Discord offers limited settings for stream configuration, especially if you're using a specialized encoder. You can check the GPU section in Task Manager to see encoding details—around 60% performance loss in CPU-heavy cases with your 7950x3D and 4090. I haven't explored it further yet.

You're puzzled about why your Discord friends work with older gear. It seems the GPU is reporting 0, which might not match their setup. Check if their hardware aligns better with your system.

Interestingly, the codec option was already disabled. I enabled it, but nothing changed. It reduced usage by 25%. I don’t understand the guidelines any more.

since it's not a hardware issue, it could be due to software or user mistakes. consider reinstalling your drivers and the Discord app. Avoid making changes unless you're certain about what you're doing.
