I used two Samsung 980 Pros with Windows 11's RAID 0 setup for extra capacity. After upgrading, I no longer rely on that RAID configuration and now use individual drives. Removing one drive causes the system to ignore it. I’m having trouble finding a clear way to disable the RAID without losing functionality. It was simple to set up the RAID but seems difficult to turn off later.

This should appear in the bio but that's not important. You need to save your data on another drive. Raid 0 functions by splitting half of the information onto each disk, meaning if one fails or you unraid them, everything will be lost. I’ll let someone else explain the process since I’m unsure. Remember to note your motherboard.

You’d need to adjust the BIOS settings by removing the RAID array and follow the recommended backup steps. To prevent similar issues in the future, consider using LVM; it allows you to modify the configuration via a single command line without needing physical volume changes.

Typically it's straightforward—take the drives out, delete the RAID setup, connect them, and you may have to re-enable them in DiskManager. Then partition and format them.
