Disconnected my SSD and it stopped functioning.
I recently performed a basic cleanup on my PC and removed one of my SSDs to better access the power supply unit. After reconnecting it and trying to boot up, it didn’t work. All fans are running, all lights are on, and all SSDs spin, yet my screen remains unreachable. I’ve used various cables and monitors without success. My keyboard and mouse also don’t function properly. Although the PC appears normal, it’s not connecting to the monitors. There’s also a white light that won’t switch off. I own a B450 model, and this light suggests an issue with my GPU. Even when I disconnect the GPU, the light stays on.
Verify the SATA data cable is securely connected and the locking mechanisms are engaged. If the system fails to start, access the BIOS settings. Confirm the storage device appears in the list. Identify the type of SSD used.
I own two HDDs and one SSD, but I removed the SSD too. It failed when I unplugged it. The HDDs are working okay.
