Disabling slow mode
Disabling slow mode
In short, I was curious about why my Ryzen 5 2600 at 3.5ghz was stuck at 2.78 and couldn't go higher, suspecting the slow mode might be the issue. How can I turn it off? (motherboard: MSI B350M gaming pro)
Refresh your update to contain complete details about the system's hardware specifications and operating system information. Confirm the motherboard's User Guide or Manual to ensure compatibility with the supported hardware and relevant configuration options. Additionally, review the manufacturer's official website for any recent changes.
I looked through the manual and didn't find a slow mode switch... could there be another reason?
It depends on your preference, but you can decide based on what feels better for you.
Rephrase the content to exclude current elements while keeping the original structure.
In this situation, there isn't any such switch available. I looked inside my PC but didn't find it. What should I do next?
I checked the link again as a reference for BIOS. Are you certain you're viewing the right switch? Is it labeled as a "three" way switch with C, middle, and A? If there is a switch, please consult the motherboard's User Manual. Do not make any changes until you're sure about the board and switch. Motherboard: MSI B350M gaming pro - correct? What is the revision number?
It should be displayed somewhere on the motherboard: Revision, Version...
Anyway, here is a link that might be useful regarding MSI:

Keep in mind the thread is quite old and broad.
If the Slow Mode toggle is truly a two-way switch, flipping it might restore speed.
There could be valid reasons not to change it, particularly without official documentation.
Also, make sure to check the BIOS for any speed restrictions.
I need to verify the BIOS settings since it seems there isn't a switch on my motherboard. Where should I look specifically?
