The sound is really bothering me. Is there a way to turn it off manually? I don’t play games and just use one M.2 drive. My computer isn’t using much power.

Disconnect it? Just keep an eye on temperatures—it’s probably not much affected by the load and it’s necessary even when usage is minimal.

The motherboard fans feature a detachable header connection somewhere on the board; just remove it. You can also adjust their speed via the UEFI settings, lowering them below 1500 RPM.

Unfortunately, the Asus X570-E BIOS doesn't support PCH fan control.

The motherboard header will feature a small mini-fan connector. I've implemented this on several boards, such as the X570 Impact, because it has an air-cooled CPU and needs airflow over the VRM/chipset.

I understand you're trying to remove the fan from your Be Quiet 900 Pro. You mentioned it has a great airflow setup, so simply disconnecting it might be a viable option. Let me know if you need further guidance!

It was easy to just turn it off since most of those fans run in a room with minimal airflow around the CPU. This isn't the same as a big air cooler, but I'd still keep an eye on temperatures before and after if you do that. The setup I used isn't for gaming anymore, so there aren't high-power GPUs pushing heat up through the chipset or VRM.

My CPU cooler is the Be Quiet Dark Rock 4 model. I don’t play games or run heavy applications like video editing. I’m sure it should work well for my needs.
