Check your motherboard's support for OC on the Q6600—limited BIOS features or similar. Consider using Q6600 BSEL mods (I've tried it and it performed well, reversible). It can boost your 2.4GHz Q6600 to around 3.0GHz across all cores, matching the other CPU's speed while adding two more cores.

The board works well, the model is Asus P5Q Pro which should be suitable for overclocking.
