Adjust your current directory layout to match your desired arrangement, then set it as the default by accessing Folder Options and clicking the appropriate option. Remember that the column width will align with your existing folder size. Avoid using the "Size all column to fit" feature when opening a new folder, as it won't adjust the column width automatically. For instance, if you choose "Size all column to fit" and the first column is set to 500px, applying this globally will ensure every folder displays with a consistent 500px width, no matter the content.
