Occasionally it functions unpredictably or freezes during certain games.
Once on Call of Duty WWII
On a Roll is a game; I frequently play in 1080p but it freezes and crashes randomly.
Gtx 1070 Overclocked caused stress on my GPU without any problems.
I have all the newest drivers and Direct X installed.

reinstall the drivers if they are corrupted using DDU and attempt once more, though ensure a fresh installation. Additionally, it could be the game itself causing the problem.

agreed the game it happens to be the most is an early release on steam with bugs.... it's quite unpredictable. some titles with much higher settings work perfectly without any problems, while I also encounter tarring in that game. it could be that my gtx1070 finds it difficult to run at 1080p on a 4k setup... I was getting around 1,400 fps, which doesn't make sense given the lagging and crashes.

which game offers 1400fps? i own a 1070 and it should work fine at 4k, though not ideal.
