I’m curious about why my gaming performance isn't meeting expectations. My system includes an RTX 2080 Super graphics card, a Ryzen 7 3800X processor, and 16GB of 3600MHz memory. Despite running Destiny 2 at maximum settings, I’m consistently achieving only around 90 frames per second. Considering my hardware configuration—particularly when compared to Battlefield 1, which consistently delivers nearly 140 FPS at maximum settings—I suspect a performance limitation within my PC, possibly due to a bottleneck or software conflict. The online data indicates that an average of approximately 200 FPS should be attainable with this setup. Could you offer some insight? My system specifications are: Ryzen 7 3800x, Corsair H100i Liquid Cooler, EVGA Hybrid Cooled RTX 2080 Super, 16Gb (8+8) Gskill Trident RGB Memory 3600, Samsung 970 Evo 500Gb, Seagate Baracuda 3TB, RM850X PSU, ASUS ROG Crosshair Hero VIII.

Frame rate metrics alone aren’t a reliable indicator; Destiny 2 demands significant processing power, typically achieving approximately seventy frames per second on an RTX 2060 with demanding settings, though it may dip to sixty during particularly intense moments. Are you utilizing a 144Hz monitor? If your display is only capable of sixty frames per second, then the current performance might not be a cause for concern. However, Battlefield V has been carefully optimized and can operate smoothly on older hardware like a GTX 1050, while Destiny 2 struggled at fifty frames per second. Different games inherently require varying levels of system resources to function optimally.

Have you modified any configurations within the NVIDIA graphics driver?
Could you specify the resolution and refresh rate you are utilizing?
Please execute a test using userbenchmark.com and share the URL of your findings.

Achieving a stable 144 frames per second at 1440p resolution would be ideal. I’m uncertain about what my hardware is truly capable of, and online comparisons are only increasing my sense that I’m lagging behind. Running user benchmarks necessitates a significant amount of available hard drive space, so please allow me to rectify that situation.

The issue persists even when I disable the visual indicator and close the application without any on-screen display; it’s perplexing.

Following the removal of both applications, the system continues to generate an error message when running the sphere test.
