Difference noted between listed properties and files actually displayed.
I was pulling photo albums from Google Photos today to begin setting up some offline storage. After each download (a zip file with all the pictures), I opened it and chose "Properties" to verify that the number of files matched what appeared in the web app. Surprisingly, the count in Properties was nearly double what I saw in Explorer. When I opened the folder, the explorer listed only a few items, but File Explorer showed the full amount—exactly matching the album size. The odd thing is that moving ten photos to a new location still gave me around twenty files in Properties. It’s strange how Properties behaves differently from what I see. I checked hidden files too, but that didn’t help. Do you have any suggestions on why it might be reporting more than it actually has?
Are you sure the option to reveal hidden files is turned on in the folder options? It's likely the Properties window displays thumbnails for every file, which are typically hidden by default and won’t appear in regular folder views.
