The problem might actually be linked to the update process.
Attempt to reinstall the GPU driver.
Download the newest driver, but refrain from installing it immediately.
Use Display Driver Uninstaller:
https://www.wagnardsoft.com/
Execute DDU (needs safe mode) and allow it to remove the previous drivers.
After completion, proceed with the installation of the new one.
