Hi guys, First post on this forum, I have read some stuff here an there over the last couple years though. So basically, I was reading the r/overclocking subreddit about ryzen 5 3600 overclocking, an I saw someone post that they got 4.3ghz on 1.25V (that is off the top of my head could vary slightly, but pretty sure it was 1.25). Previously Initially I used the stock cooler, whilst I was waiting for the correct mounting plate for my cryorig h7 - I think I must have mounted slightly improperly because the thermals were not amazing. So yeah, I could ramble all night about how I arrived at these numbers, 43.1 x 99.8 ~4.31ghz all core, at 1.125v temps maxed at ~72c, avg 69 during real bench I also managed 3886 in cinenbench R20. Currently it fairly stable [I have only run about 30 minutes of real bench so far, so additional stabillity testing is required, but it is already 1:40am so that will occur tomorrow]. Oh yeah, for those wondering, this chip was purchased less than a month ago, which may explain the improvements. Apparently the newly produced CPU's are better than the ones sold at launch, due to greater sillicon yields I think - don't quote me on this, I just remember reading something about this. The cooling setup is, 2 intake noctua 120mm pwm fans, one exterior nzxt case fan top, 2 of these super cheap 120mm fans 1 for rear exhaust 1 configured to pull from the H7 cryorig,(have 3 newer way higher quality fans arriving today or tomorrow), an the H7 cryroig stock cooler. Other system info: gtx1070 (side note, does anyone care to spectulate on australian pricing for 3000 series gpu's?) 32gb g.skill ripjaws v 3200mhz cl16 (additional question, if anyone has this kit or similar has anyone been able to overclock to a higher frequency? I haven't been able to get higher than the XMP2.0, that being said though I haven't properly messed around with timings) Asrock b450m Steel Legend samsung 250gb ssd 2tb + 4tb Seagate drives Any feedback/information is greatly appreciated. Typically a 3600Hz clock speed gets grouped and might only improve slightly, but by default you can definitely tackle the 3600 setting. You might be able to boost your RAM performance, raise the SOC voltage, and the FCLK on the 3600 is quite solid—so achieving high speeds with overclocking is feasible if you're up for it, though it will be quite challenging.
You're asking about a voltage setting of 4.4ghz, recalling it was around 1.3V during testing. It seems you're concerned about running at that static level. Your home's heating makes your room warmer than others, especially at night. You plan to move in tomorrow and appreciate the message.
