eBay will inform you when the order is marked "shipped" as soon as the seller creates a label, not when the package is actually delivered to the carrier. It should be okay. If it isn’t, eBay offers strong buyer safeguards. Don’t stress until the delivery arrives. The seller’s “no returns” policy won’t hold up against their protections—even if they try to block you, they can return your money. Their buyer rights are impressive and difficult for dishonest buyers to exploit. They only get caught when it becomes clear.
PayPal can be a bit uncertain. However, eBay offers strong safeguards for purchasers. It wouldn’t be surprising if someone intentionally scammed a seller.
Sellers can sometimes be on their side too. I lost money when I sold a special edition Mario 3DS, and the buyer sent back a Yoshi version that was worth less. I filed a complaint on eBay and received a full refund, even though it was hard to verify my case.
