I chose to modify my Dell Latitude 2-in-1 BIOS...Here is what I did:
(1) I downloaded the BIOS update EXE and executed it with admin privileges.
(2) The computer restarted into the Dell BIOS/Firmware update mode.
(3) Several firmware updates were applied successfully, after which the updater indicated a restart was imminent.
(4) To verify the BIOS version, I repeatedly pressed the F2 key to enter BIOS and checked if the version changed. However, the BIOS/Firmware updater reappeared and installed the keyboard firmware correctly.
Did I make any mistakes by pressing the F2 key multiple times during the update?

I don't think so. It's best to wait until everything is complete unless instructed to press a key or button. Then you'll either see a laptop that's turned off or be in the OS GUI. If you're in the latter, CPU-Z can help you check your BIOS version under the Mainboard tab.
