Just bought two HP 561FLR-T 10Gb cards! $12 plus tax. I'm attempting to set up a 10GB home network between two Windows 10 PCs, but it's not working... anyone? PC1 is a Ryzen 1700x B350 running Strix Win10, PC2 is an A8 A320 with Windows 10.

Manage the IPv4 addresses directly. If needed, verify functionality and driver availability.

Check if the card appears in Device Manager or network diagnostics.

Do you have Cat6a connections instead of regular CAT6 wires? Typical CAT6 offers 1Gb speed, whereas upgraded versions can reach 10Gb.

Cat6 supports 10GBASE-T over up to 55 meters, whereas Cat6a complies with the complete 100-meter TIA standard. On typical Cat6 cables, 10Gbps connectors function adequately as long as you stay within the required parameters and avoid strong electromagnetic interference. I’d estimate a direct link between two machines should comfortably reach the 55-meter limit.

It connects via a special port on an HP server. It won't work with regular computers.

That's correct, the distance played a role, and we typically rely on fiber or standard CAT5 cables while working in the USAR.

Typically, switching directly between hosts without a router or switch requires an Ethernet crossover cable. The connection must match the T568A and T568B standards.

It was resolved by Auto MDI-X many years back, probably. You didn’t need to do it except with very outdated 100Mb connections.

I can't locate the device in your Ryzen system. The Device Manager only lists the standard Intel 1211 Gigabit Network Connection, which seems to be the built-in connection. After trying to add a new device, adjusting slots, swapping cards, and installing the Intel PROSET Adapter Utility, it still doesn’t show up. The second PC isn’t connecting either.
