Five years is long past any warranty claim. Fat chance getting Cooler Master to pay in any case.

is fried. Since none of us have access to the PC, do you not think a junky, group-regulated PSU is a more likely suspect than XMP settings?

The default reset is three times, meaning even after enabling XMP, the BIOS will try to boot again on the fourth attempt, which didn’t include XMP enabled. The test was run on a CPU from another PC; it failed. The only logical explanation is that the memory controller is damaged. It’s likely due to poor power delivery from a weak PSU, which is already affecting the MC, and adding XMP could have pushed it beyond the point of failure. Anyone using the same PSU now should expect similar issues.
