Hey everyone, seeking assistance with Ethernet performance. My setup has a 2.5G port on the motherboard, a 1G switch, a 2.5G router, and a 1G internet connection—physically everything seems fine. Despite adjusting the speed and duplex settings in Device Manager, the maximum remains at 100/100. I attempted driver updates for the NIC but faced issues with Windows 10 installation slowing down significantly. After rebooting and powering off, I encountered a BSOD, after which the port disappeared from the list. I’ve cleaned up files, reinstalled drivers, updated to Windows 11, and even tried Ubuntu, but no device appears. I’m avoiding new cards since a faulty port could affect resale. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

The frequent reason for a perfect 100/100 connection is typically a faulty Ethernet cable, which appears to be the sole troubleshooting action available.

I recall using it before it stopped functioning. This time I didn’t attempt it again. Still, my Ethernet card on the motherboard isn’t appearing in my device manager.

Skiiwee29 reverted to the BIOS release and reinstalled the LAN driver. Unfortunately it's still not functioning. Appreciate the assistance!

Uncertain about the outcome but everything seems to be functioning properly. Installed Windows 11 on a new SSD, then swapped back to the original drive, reattached the GPU, and removed the motherboard 24-pin connector. I don’t know what caused it to work again, but I’ll monitor drivers moving forward.
