Hi everyone,
I woke up this morning to find my computer still on the BIOS screen.
The motherboard Debug LED is showing A6, which matches the manual's SCSI Detect setting.
Am I seeing signs of an SSD failure? Or is something else going on?
I've taken out my HDD, swapped the SSD around, re-seated the RAM, and am now about to swap it back—though I'm not sure that's the problem.
In BIOS, everything looks normal for my components. I'll check again.
About a month ago, I bought 96 GB of RAM. It's been very stable since then, just needed more for CAD programs.
Specs: MSI Z690 Carbon WIFI, CPU 12700K, RAM 2x48 Gskill DDR5 5600, GPU 3080 Ti, SSD Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB, HDD WD Black 4 TB.

It seems like it might be fine. If you've tested it in various ports and the firmware isn't recognizing it, then replacing it is straightforward. Even if it isn't the problem, there aren't many simple steps to troubleshoot unless you have another device nearby.

I have a MSI gaming laptop as well... I believe there's a spare m.2 spot... can I download that and run it on my suspect drive?
If that's a no... I have no idea how I would use magician as it looks like it's a program you run on Windows.
If yes, I will try tomorrow and report back.

It's not a separate program. However, that software seems to be inactive.
Reach out to Samsung for an RMA replacement.
