Did I break my GPU?
I just tried overclocking my GPU for the first time (EVGA GTX 970 SSC). The base clock was 1100 MHZ and after running Heaven on extreme for about 25 minutes it crashed. The max MHZ I reached was 1500 MHZ. I was using EGVA PrecisionX 16. After checking the program post-crash, my GPU was only hitting around 500 MHZ. I've restarted my PC twice already. If you can help, please let me know as soon as possible!
Reduce the clock speed to 1500Mhz, but it still won't cope. Likely it's running at 500Mhz once it stops working.
start in safe mode, remove the video driver, and reboot—it might be harmed. if that doesn’t work, try reinstalling the Intel or AMD chipset driver for the MB.
