So I tried comparing gaming performance with HPET turned on or off, but HPET was already switched off by default. Isn't it supposed to be on? Also, when I enabled HPET and rebooted my Windows 11 PC, the computer started acting slow and unusable. check if you can update your computer's BIOS settings to make sure it works better with new programs and drivers.

When HPET is turned off, open Task Manager and Resource Monitor to see which programs are running on your computer, how much memory or CPU they use, and what specific thing is pulling them down. Then try this again with HPET enabled. Check if anything changed. If the system feels really slow, you might find a problem somewhere in there. Or at least figure out which part of it is hurting things.
